Bangladesh's inflation dropped to 8.57 per cent in January 2023 which was 8.71 per cent in December 2022, according to the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).
BBS revealed the data on Monday.
Bangladesh's inflation reached 9.5 per cent in August due to the rising commodity prices and record hike in fuel prices. But, it declined to 9.1 per cent in September.
According to the BBS, the food inflation reached 7.76 per cent in January dropped from 7.91 per cent in December.
The non-food inflation reached 9.84 per cent in January decreased from 9.96 per cent in December, the BBS data showed.
