The country's inflation has increased 9.33 per cent in March 2023 which was 8.78 per cent in February 2023, Planning Minister MA Mannan told reporters on Tuesday after the executive committee of the national economic council (ECNEC) meeting.
According to the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS), Bangladesh's inflation reached 9.5 per cent in August due to rising commodity prices and record hikes in fuel prices. But it declined to 9.1 per cent in September.
According to the BBS, food inflation reached to 9.09 per cent in March and increased from 8.13 per cent in February.
The nonfood inflation reached 9.72 percent in March and decreased from 9.82 per cent in February, according to BBS.
