Planning Minister MA Mannan has said Japan will likely provide $600 million to the country's development budget.
The minister made the statement after a meeting with the outgoing Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Country Director Yuho Hayakawa and his replacement Ichiguchi Tomohide held at the Planning Minister's office in the capital's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar on Monday.
However, the terms and conditions of the budget support will be finalised following discussion on both sides, the minister added.
