SCB delegation lauds govt’s business-friendly approach

A Shippers’ Council of Bangladesh (SCB) delegation – comprised of a newly elected Board of Directors and led by its Chairman Md Rezaul Karim – has paid a courtesy call on Commerce State Minister Ahasanul Islam Titu.

SCB Vice Chairman Ganesh Chandra Saha, and directors Syed Md Bakhtiar and Lokapriya Barua also attended the meeting, which took place at Titu’s office in the Ministry of Commerce on Sunday, reads a press release.

At the beginning, SCB chairman and Board of Directors congratulated and handed over a flower bouquet and SCB crest to the state minister for receiving the responsibility of the Commerce Ministry. 

The SCB chairman introduced the Board of Directors and highlighted the activities of the Council. 

Karim said, “The incumbent government has taken commendable steps in business-friendly approach, simplification of trade procedures, support to exporters and export products and markets.

“I am optimistic that the activities of the Ministry of Commerce will be more sustainable and dynamic under the leadership of the minister of state.”
