The massive fire that broke out at New Super Market in Dhaka on April 15 caused a loss of Tk 300 crore, traders said.
The market was opened for business at 12 noon Thursday.
Maruf Hossain, convener of the ad hoc committee of New Super Market (South) Banik Samity, said 233 shops were damaged in the fire. There has been extensive damage to the power system of the market. The amount of loss is about Tk 300 crore.
