Parjatan Corporation starts Padma Bridge tour package

Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC) on Friday launched a special tour package, targeting the huge tourism potential of the recently inaugurated Padma Bridge.

State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali inaugurated the tour package at a function organised at the Parjatan Bhaban in Dhaka this afternoon.

In the opening ceremony, Mahbub said the Padma Bridge has opened the door for the development of tourism in the southern region.

Tourists from home and abroad have now been able to visit Kuakata Beach, Sundarbans and other tourist centres in a very short time, he said.

"Various tourism facilities will be created on both sides of the Padma Bridge through Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation."

He said, “The Padma Bridge is a part of our history and it has taken us to a special place of pride and dignity in the world.”

The bridge will boost the entire economy of the country, he added.

The package tour titled ‘Dream Padma Bridge Tour’ will be conducted every Friday and Saturday. Through this trip, tourists can enjoy the beauty of the Padma Bridge in the daylight, as well as in the evening and at night.

Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry Secretary Md Mokammel Hossain, Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation Chairman Md Ali Kadar, Bangladesh Tourism Board Chief Executive Officer Abu Tahir Muhammad Zaber, among others, were also present on the occasion.
