President Mohammed Shahabuddin on Tuesday urged the investors of the Republic of Kosovo to invest in various sectors, specially the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of Bangladesh.
The president came up with the call when the outgoing ambassador of Kosovo to Bangladesh Gunner Ureya paid a farewell call on him at Bangabhaban.
During the meeting, the Head of State thanked the outgoing ambassador of Kosovo for his successful performance, President's Press Secretary Md Joynal Abedin told BSS.
The president said Bangladesh is interested in increasing bilateral relations with all the countries of the world.
The head of the state emphasised on increasing public and private levels link between the two countries to explore the existing potentials for cooperation and trade-investment between Bangladesh and Kosovo.
The existing relations between the two countries will be strengthened in the days to come, Shahabuddin hoped.
The outgoing ambassador of Kosovo lauded Bangladesh's socio-economic development in various fields, including communication, infrastructure development, women's empowerment and information technology (IT).
He expressed gratitude to the President for providing all necessary cooperation in fulfilling his assignment.
President's Office Secretary Samapad Barua, Military Secretary Major General SM Salah Uddin Islam and Secretary (attachment) Md Wahidul Islam Khan were also present on the occasion.
