Bangladesh's garment sector will not get tariff facility in the EU market if new GSP regulation is implemented there next year, Research and Policy Integration for Development (RAPID) Chairman Mohammad Abdur Razzaque said.
“So, Bangladesh's apparel market would face serious challenges in the EU market,” he said while addressing a workshop titled, "Identify Issues Relating to the Upcoming EU New GSP Regulations" at the commerce ministry.
In this context, the economist urged the Bangladesh government to make a "technical negotiation" to resolve any possible issues in a speedy manner.
