The government has fixed the prices of the salt-applied rawhides of cows at Tk 47-52 per square foot in Dhaka and Tk 40-44 across the country.
Rawhides price has been increased Tk 7 per square foot than the previous year.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi disclosed the price at a press briefing after a meeting with the tanners on Tuesday.

Last year, the price of rawhide of sacrificial cows was Tk 40 to Tk 45 per square foot in Dhaka and Tk 33 to Tk 37 outside the capital.
However, the price of goat hide is fixed at Tk 18 to Tk 20 per square foot while the price of Baqri hide is set at Tk 12 to Tk 14 per square foot.
