The SME Foundation has signed a deal with Trust Bank to offer collateral free loans with a 4 per cent interest rate to SME entrepreneurs across the country, including those involved in agro processing, furniture and rubber industries throughout three hill tract districts.
SME Foundation Managing Director Dr Md Mofizur Rahman and Trust Bank Managing Director Humaira Azam signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations at the foundation’s conference room in Dhaka on Tuesday.
The foundation’s Deputy Managing Director Salahuddin Mahmud and General Manager Nazim Hossain Sattar, Farzana Khan and Mohammad Jahangir Hossain attended the programme.
With support from 19 partner banks and financial institutions, the SME Foundation is financing entrepreneurs from every corner of the country.
