South Bengal to invest $33m in Sabrang Tourism Park

The South Bengal International Trading is likely to invest $33 million in Sabrang Tourism Park at Teknaf in Cox's Bazar which will generate employment for about 300 people.

A deal was signed on Tuesday on the allotment of land between South Bengal International Trading and Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) at the BEZA office in Dhaka to establish hotel and resort on two acres of land, read a press release.

BEZA Executive Member Md Mujibur Rahman and South Bengal International Trading Chairman Mohammad Ali Ashraf signed the deal on behalf of their respective sides.

Congratulating the investor for signing the agreement, Mujibur Rahman said the economic zones authority has been able to create an investment-friendly environment in Bangladesh.

He said the BEZA has already taken various plans to make the Sabrang Tourism Park a world-class tourist centre.

With the sincere cooperation of the government, he said, the Sabrang Tourism Park will soon become a centre of attraction for tourists.
