To ease commercial services between Bangladesh and US, the new US Commercial Service Office has been inaugurated in Dhaka.

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi and Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Global Markets and Director General of the US and Foreign Commercial Service Arun Venkataraman inaugurated the new office at an event at Sonargaon Hotel on Thursday.

“The Trade and Investment Cooperation Forum Agreement (TICFA) meeting between the two countries will be held very soon where the cotton and GSP issues will be discussed,” Tipu said.

“Opening up of the Commercial Service Office indicates the growing importance of Bangladesh as a trade partner of US,” Venkataraman said.
