Expectations from the 30th Chattogram International Trade Fair

The Chattogram Trade Fair (CITF) organised by Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) is an annual event that brings together businesses, entrepreneurs, and visitors from different parts of the world to showcase their products, services, and innovations. As one of the most significant trade fairs in Bangladesh, there are high expectations for the event, and it is essential to consider what we can expect from the fair.

The much-anticipated CITF, however, kicked off on Thursday (February 16) with a scarcity of visitors and many stalls and pavilions still not ready to showcase products. This is the 30th edition of the fair. The CCCI has been holding the fair since 1993.

More than 300 companies from countries such as Bangladesh, India, Thailand and Iran are showcasing their products in 400 stalls. For the whole month, the fair will remain open to visitors from 10.00 am to 10.00pm. Visitors can enter the fair by purchasing tickets at Tk 20. However, students of the playgroup to 7th grade will be able to enter the fair for free.

AKM Akther Hossain, member of the fair organising committee, said more than 300 companies are participating in this year’s fair with 400 booths in three separate zones. The booths are included with 20 premier pavilions, 56 premier stalls, 94 golden stalls, 48 mega stalls and 11 food stalls.
