Professor Mohammad Mahfuzul Islam has been appointed vice-chancellor (VC) of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Bangladesh in Gazipur.
The education ministry issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday.
President Md Abdul Hamid, also the chancellor of the university, appointed Mahfuzul Islam, a professor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET)’s computer science and engineering department, for the next four years, the ministry said.
The university’s first VC Dr Munaz Ahmed Noor completed his four-year tenure on June 12 this year.
