Students of Dhaka College and Govt Titumir College now can pay their admission and academic fees through bKash, reads a press release on Wednesday.
“Around 60,000 students of the country’s two largest colleges are able to pay fees through bKash conveniently from anywhere that helps them to lead uninterrupted academic life. It also ensures smooth fee collection management for the college authorities as well,” it said.
Around 20,000 students of Dhaka College can pay their fees through the bKash app. To pay, students need to select ‘Pay Bill’ from the home screen of the bKash app and tap on the ‘Education’ icon.
In the next step, they need to enter Bill Period, Student ID and proceed to payment with bKash PIN. Upon successful payment, students will get a confirmation notification.
On the other hand, more than 40,000 students of Govt Titumir College can pay fees through bKash using the payment gateway. Students need to enter their bKash account number, fee amount, OTP and bKash PIN to complete the payment.
They can download the environment-friendly digital receipt from the college website for future needs.
Payment of admission fees and other academic fees through bKash has become popular recently. At present, bKash is providing fee payment service to over 600 public and private educational institutions across the country, according to the press release.
