DU, BUET maintain low profile in QS ranking

The positions of Bangladesh’s top public universities - the University of Dhaka and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology - have remained low in the QS global university ranking for three years.

UK-based institution QS published the ranking of world best universities of 2022 like the other years.

In the list of QS ranking, both the top universities of Bangladesh have booked their berths between 801 to 1000 in the year of 2022. Both these universities maintained similar low positions in the QS ranking in the year of 2019, 2020 and 2021.

The ranking criteria are based on the following indicators academic reputation, citations per faculty, employer reputation, faculty student ratio, international faculty ratio, international students’ ratio.

The universities, which ranked top 3 positions in QS ranking, are respectively Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University and Harvard University.
