The results of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations for 2022 are likely to be published between February 7 and 9.

The Inter-education Board Coordination Committee has proposed the dates to the education ministry and is also awaiting approval from the prime minister.

Prof Tapan Kumar Sarkar, chief of the committee, on Friday told The Business Post that they requested the prime minister through the education ministry to decide whether to announce the results any day between February 7 and 9.

“As soon as the prime minister gives her approval, they will be able to announce the date for publishing the results,” said Prof Tapan, also chairman of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka.

A total of 12,03,407 examinees registered to sit for the HSC exams at 2,649 centres in nine general, one madrasa and one technical education boards across the country.

The examinations were held between November 6 and December 13 last year after a lengthy delay due to the Covid-19 pandemic and flood situation in the country.

The education boards usually publish the results within two months of the exams. The deadline, therefore, is February 11.

Traditionally, the prime minister formally publishes the results of both SSC (Secondary School Certificate) and HSC exams.
