The 'ICPC Asia Dhaka Regional Contest 2021' was inaugurated at Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) on Friday.

The event was held at the university’s international conference hall arranged by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) with Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Fayyaz Khan in the chair.

Bangladesh Accreditation Council Chairman Prof Mesbahuddin Ahmed inaugurated the competition as the chief guest while BUBT Trust Chairman Md Shamsul Huda was present as the special guest, a press release said.

Prof Mesbahuddin thanked the participants in the competition and urged them to move forward with dreams and goals. “Success can be achieved through hard work and it will not be possible without any goal.”

President of the Executive Committee and BUBT Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Ali Noor said this was the second time the university was organising the competition. “We are proud to host the mega event.”

He said that the event will play an important role in realising the dream of ‘Digital Bangladesh’.

“Bangladesh will advance by the youth through utilising this talented training. Teachers from the leading universities of the country assisted in organising the event.”
