Mechanical Engineering Department Professor Dr Mihir Ranjan Halder has been appointed as the new vice-chancellor (VC) of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET).
In this regard, a notification was issued and signed by Education Ministry's Secondary and Higher Education Division Deputy Secretary Mst Rokhsana Begum on Thursday.
President and Chancellor of KUET Md Abdul Hamid appointed Mihir Ranjan for the next four years.
Professor Dr Kazi Sajjad Hossain completed his four-year tenure as vice chancellor of KUET on August 12.
Later, Professor Md Saiful Islam of the university was appointed as the acting VC of the KUET on August 21.
