The government has decided not to hold this year's Junior School Certificate and its equivalent Junior Dakhil Certificate examinations due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni announced this while talking to reporters after a function marking the Prime Minister’s 75th birthday in the capital on Tuesday.
She said the students will be promoted to the next level through annual examinations, confirmed Mohammad Abul Khair, public relations officer of the ministry of education to The Business Post.
Earlier on September 27, the government issued schedule for the SSC and HSC examinations.
SSC and HSC will begin from November 14 and December 2 respectively, according to the schedule.
The SSC examinations will end on November 23 while that of HSC on December 30.
