NSU, British Council award scholarships to IELTS candidates

North South University, in collaboration with the British Council, held a scholarship award ceremony for IELTS exam candidates at its campus.

The event recognised three outstanding students — Md Parvez Hasan Yousuf, Md Mostafa Azad, and Atiqa Labiba, each of whom was awarded a scholarship of BDT 25,000 for their participation in the IELTS exam administered at the university, according to a press release.

The ceremony saw attendance from prominent figures from both organisations. From the British Council Maxim Raimann, country exams director for Bangladesh, Tabassum Chowdhury, manager of business pursuit, Sazzad Hossain Siam, business pursuit officer, and  Jubair Nayeem, marketing manager of exams for the South Asia Cluster, were present.

North South University was represented by Prof Abdur Rob Khan, treasurer, Dr Ahmed Tazmeen, registrar, Dr Hasanuzzaman, director in-charge, office of external affairs, and Tasnia Azmeri Madiha, coordination officer and focal person for IELTS at NSU who played pivotal roles in the event.

This collaboration between NSU and the British Council underscores their commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for students by facilitating access to international exams like the IELTS directly on the university campus.
