Private English Medium Schools Alliance (PEMS) held its annual meeting 2022 at Universal College Bangladesh in Dhaka on April 13.

Founders, owners, principals of more than 40 leading schools in Bangladesh along with the senior leaders of PEMS attended the meeting, which aimed to improve the quality of education at primary and secondary levels, a press release said on Saturday.

The schools included Scholastica, Sunnydale, South Breeze, Aga Khan, International Hope School, Manarat, DPS STS, Mastermind, Academia, Singapore School, Oxford, Playpen, PenField, Australian International, American Standard, European Standard, and Pledge Harbor.

PEMS Alliance Convener Dr Sandweep said the organisation, since its inception, has been committed to working collaboratively with all of its members to improve the country's primary and secondary education levels.

“The leading schools’ spontaneous participation in the meeting reflects their commitment to the mission and activities of the organisation,” he said.

DPS STS School Principal Dr CS Shivananda said, “Being a member of such a prestigious alliance is a great strength for each of our participating schools. This is also an effective platform for discussing important issues with each other in order to grow collaboratively.”

To ensure a sustainable future for the youth of Bangladesh, he said, DPS STS School will continue to work extending its full cooperation to the alliance.
