Students who will sit for SSC and HSC examinations in 2021 and 2022 and the students of class five will have to come to school every day after the reopening of educational institutions on September 12, said Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni.
Meanwhile, students of classes one, two, three, four, six, seven and nine will have to attend physical classes one day a week, she added.
Education minister revealed the information in a press briefing after aa high-level meeting on Sunday to take a final decision on the issue of reopening schools and colleges in the country.
The meeting, chaired by Dipu Moni, began at 3:15pm in the conference room of the Cabinet.
"No one, including students, teachers and everyone involved with the educational institution, will be allowed to enter classrooms without wearing a face mask," she said, adding that teachers would have to make sure that the young students were not experiencing any kind of trouble.
"Initially, the classes will be four hours long. The duration will be extended in phases gradually," Dipu Moni further said.
