The Secondary School Certificate and Higher Secondary Certificate examinations will begin from November 14 and December 2 respectively.
The exam schedules, signed by Khaleda Akhter, deputy secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division under the Education Ministry, were unveiled on Monday.
As per special instructions of the exam routine, the tests will be held following proper hygiene rules due to Covid-19 pandemic.
SSC routine:
The duration of each exam is one hour and a half and there will be no break between the exams of MCQ and CQ.
The SSC examinations will end on November 23 while that of HSC on December 30, according to the schedules.
Last year, the government could not hold HSC and equivalent exams due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Results of the examinees were evaluated based on their previous SSC and JSC results.
HSC routine:
This year, the pandemic also forced the government to defer the two public examinations which are usually held in February (SSC) and April (HSC).
The educational institutions across Bangladesh had been shut since March 17 last year after the country reported its first Covid-19 cases on March 8. Later, the closure was extended several times.
The government reopened the schools and colleges on September 12 this year following an improvement in the Covid situation.
