Health Minister Zahid Maleque on Saturday said students above 12 years of age but under 18 will be administered with Pfizer and Modern Covid-19 vaccines.
“According to the guidelines of World Health Organization, inoculation to the students of schools and colleges will depend on age,” the minister told the media.
“Students aged above 18 can be given any vaccine. In developed countries, Pfizer and Modern jabs are being given to students aged over 12 years but below 18.”
He said the government will follow the WHO guidelines during the vaccination of students.
