The orientation programme for the summer 2024 semester of UCSI University Bangladesh Branch Campus was held at the Bangabandhu Military Museum (Multipurpose Hall) on Saturday.
Honourable Member of Parliament Ms Farida Yasmin graced the event as the Chief Guest and Professor Atiur Rahman, PhD, chairman, board of academic advisors, UCSI University Bangladesh branch campus, was present as the Special Guest.
Chief Guest Ms Farida Yasmin said that the government has a transformative vision to build Smart Bangladesh by 2041. She believes that students of UCSI University Bangladesh Branch Campus, will be inspired by the spirit of the 1971 liberation war, and fervently embrace patriotism and dedicate themselves to the progress and development of our nation.
Special Guest Professor Atiur Rahman, PhD, highlighted the indispensable role of learning for both development and survival in today's rapidly competitive world. He expressed gratitude to the incoming students for their thoughtful choice to enrol at UCSI University Bangladesh Branch Campus.
Professor S M Shameem Reza, PhD, Academic Advisor, UCSI University Bangladesh Branch Campus, prioritised on learning how to think critically, problem-solve effectively, and communicate persuasively, as these skills form the foundation for success in any field. Beyond just acquiring knowledge, the emphasis should be on fostering a lifelong passion for learning and adapting to the ever-evolving challenges of the world.
Respected Board of Directors, Faculty members, staff, fresher students and members of the university's cultural club and photography club were also present at the event.
