UITS signs MoU with Nepalese university

The University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) has achieved a milestone in international academic cooperation, during an event organised by Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) last Thursday [January 18, 2024].

A delegation of thirty teachers from Sukuna Multiple Campus, which is affiliated with Nepal’s Tribhuvan University, visited UITS and signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the event.

UITS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Abu Hasan Bhuiyan was present at the programme among many other eminent personalities.

Treasurer Professor Dr Siraj Uddin Ahmed, Registrar Mohammad Kamrul Hasan and IQAC Director Engineer Md Safayet Hossain highlighted the importance of this MoU for UITS.

Sukuna Multiple Campus was represented by Campus Chief Prof Arjun Raj Adhikari, Campus Management Committee President Keshav Adhikari, Vice President Lalit Bahadur Shrestha, and other distinguished members, who cemented the bilateral agreement with their distinguished presence.

The national anthems of Bangladesh and Nepal were performed at the beginning of the programme with a goal of mutual respect and common purpose.

This MoU signifies a strong commitment to academic collaboration between UITS and Sukuna Multiple Campus, aimed at driving progress in various academic fields and enriching cultural exchange between the student and faculty communities of both institutions.

The visiting delegation actively engaged with UITS faculty and students, encouraging each other's academic ethos and cultural camaraderie. They embarked on a tour of UITS' state-of-the-art facilities, a testament to the university's steadfast commitment to providing a world-class learning environment.

IQAC at UITS has achieved a significant milestone by fostering international collaboration and enhancing the educational experience for all UITS students.
