In a remarkable collaboration, ten renowned vocal artists from various genres in the country have come together to lend their voices to a song titled "Shabash Sonar Bangladesh." This patriotic anthem was officially unveiled on Thursday, (October 19) during a ceremony held at the Secretariat's Information Office auditorium.
The event was graced by the presence of the Information Minister, Dr Hasan Mahmud, as the chief guest. Additionally, Foreign Minister Shahriar Alam was also in attendance.
The lyrics of the song were penned by Hasanuzzaman Masum, while the music composition and arrangement were skillfully done by Bappa Mazumder. The video was directed by Gazi Shubho.
The song features vocals by renowned artists including Naquib Khan, Fahmida Nabi, Bappa Mazumder, Elita Karim, Dilshad Nahar Kona, Somnur Monir Konal, Kishore Das, Zaman Saif, Sazzad Hossain Shawon and Imran Mahmudul.
Minister Mahmud expressed his gratitude, stating, "I extend my heartfelt thanks to the lyricist, composer Bappa Mazumder, and all those who contributed to the creation of this song. I am an avid listener of this song. The music composition of this song is outstanding. The song encapsulates the notion of self-respect. This song signifies that it is the people of our country who will determine the course of our nation, not anyone from outside. This sentiment is beautifully portrayed in this song."
Foreign Minister Shahriar Alam praised the initiative, saying, "Cultural discourse of this nature must be promoted for the national development."
Before the inaugural presentation, Minister Hasan Mahmud unveiled the poster of the song, highlighting the artists involved in this musical endeavor.
