A massive flood has devastated 11 districts in Bangladesh, affecting millions of people and causing widespread displacement. In a show of solidarity, United Communications has organised a charity concert to raise funds for the flood victims.

The “Dhaka Rock Carnival Season 1: Swadhin Bangla Betar” will feature 12 of the country's top bands including Avoid Rafa, Ashes, Apekkhik, Aftermath, Shironamhin, AK Rahul & Black Zang, Highway, Carnival, Meghdol, Owned, Powersurge and Shonar Bangla Circus.

The event will be held on September 6 at the 100 Feet GreenVill Outdoors in Dhaka. The concert aims to provide relief to those affected by the flood while also showcasing the talent of Bangladeshi musicians.

Enamul Haque, the head of United Communications, said, “We have been planning this concert for some time, but the recent floods have made it even more important. Despite losing sponsors, we decided to proceed with the event using our own funds. Our goal is to not only raise money but also provide a much-needed escape for the audience.”

Bonnie added that the organisation plans to expand its efforts beyond this concert. “We want to support artists from all parts of Bangladesh, not just Dhaka. We have plans for future seasons of the Dhaka Rock Carnival and will be actively seeking out talented musicians through talent hunts.”

The concert is expected to be a major event, drawing crowds from across the country. Proceeds from ticket sales will be used to provide aid to flood victims, including food, shelter, and medical supplies.
