18th Channel i Music Awards to be conferred October 18

The 18th edition of the Channel i Music Awards will take place at a five-star hotel in the capital on October 18. This year Ekushey Padak winner and Shadhin Bangla Betar Kendra artiste Sujeyo Shyam will be honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the ceremony.

Sponsored by Sunsilk, this year the awards will be given in 22 categories, including Lifetime Achievement Award. The other categories of the award are Best Modern songs, Best Band, Best Sound Engineer, Best Duet songs, Best Folk songs, Best Film Music, Best Music Video, Best Tagore song, Best Nazrul songs, Best Newcomer, Best Classical (voice and instrument), Best Audio Label and others.

The organisers disclosed detailed information about the music award at a press meet at the Channel i office in the capital on Tuesday. Managing Director of Impress Telefilm Ltd and Channel i Faridur Reza Sagar, Shahidul Alam Sachchu. General Manager (Drama & Telefilms) at Channel I along with noted music personalities were present at the press conference.

Syed Abdul Hadi, Khurshid Alam, Sadi Muhammad, Abida Sultana, Farida Parveen, Lily Islam, Ferdous Ara, Mehreen Mahmud, Anima Ray, Sajed Akbar, Agun, Manam Ahmed, Emon Shaha, Fuad Naser Babu, Maksud Jamil Mintu, Riaz, Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar, Arun Chowdhury, Abdur Rahman, Rezanur Rahman and Jahangir Sayeed were judges of the ‘18th Sunsilk Channel i Music Awards-2023’.

Channel i Music Awards, the biggest music award, was introduced in 2004 to promote the music industry of Bangladesh.
