The film '1971 Shei Shob Din', helmed by director Hridi Haq, is set to grace screens in Virginia, USA. The film bid to bring the poignant narrative of the Liberation War to a global audience.

The casts and crews are currently in the United States, engaging with the Bengali community to promote the film.

In a collaborative effort with Bengal Event, BioScope organized a special event titled '1971 Shei Shob Din' at a local restaurant in Virginia. According to a press release from BioScope, the film is scheduled to be screened at the Fairfax Cinema Arts Theatre in Virginia on November 5 at 4 pm.

Among the luminaries present at the promotional event were director Hridi Haq, producer and assistant director Kamruzzaman Roni, along with actors Litu Anam, Saju Khadem, and actress Tareen, among others.

Director Hridi Haq highlighted the unique approach taken in crafting the film, stating, "No old footage was used in the making of '1971 Shei Shob Din'. The locations were created according to the perspective of the story. The story aims to bring 1971 to life for the new generation, presenting it as a fusion in their perception."

Actor Saju Khadem lauded the director's meticulous efforts, expressing, "Although this is Hridi Haq's first foray into the world of cinema, she has displayed exceptional skill in her work. She dedicated five years to researching for this production. Initially, many of us were apprehensive about how certain stories would be portrayed on screen. However, Hridi has proven that even complex subjects can be depicted on screen with finesse."

Actress Tareen Jahan echoed this sentiment, stating, "Just hearing the title of this film can transport people to a world of imagination. The great Liberation War resonates with all generations, from the pre-1971 era to the subsequent ones. Hridi made a concerted effort in her film to convey the story of 1971 to the new generation in a way that deeply touches their emotions."

Addressing concerns about linguistic complexity for Bengali expatriates in the United States, actor Litu Anam emphasized the universal language of acting. Additionally, subtitles have been provided in the film.

Litu further commented on the preference for subtitles, remarking, "Reading subtitles sometimes diverts attention from the main essence of the film. It might distance the viewer from the core of the story. Focusing on the acting allows for a better understanding of the narrative."

The distributors at BioScope Film Distribution in the United States underlined that their endeavor is driven by their profound emotional connection to the country. Rubana Rashid extended an open invitation to all to experience '1971 Shei Shob Din'.
