The movement of this generation, known as Gen Z, has played a pivotal role in reshaping the nation's political landscape. During this period, a keen sense of political awareness emerged among the people, leading to a profound shift in perspectives.

Inspired by these developments, director Abu Hayat Mahmud is going to direct a drama series, titled "Gen-Z Ami Ke? Tumi Ke?" The script for the series was penned by Mezbah Uddin Sumon. The filming of the series is supposed to start on September 10.

The producer said that the play will be made in the genre of political satire, where the story will revolve around irony.

The story is built around the idea of a family representing a country. The narrative will move forward with a mix of political satire, blending humour, laughter, love, and tension, all centered around this family dynamic.

Abu Hayat Mahmud about the drama, "Whoever does politics, his work is in politics. The main job of a filmmaker is to capture various stories on celluloid and convey a message to people. A journalist must provide authentic news. Like a writer's pen, celluloid is our strength. From there we thought differently. It will be a satirical drama.”

“We will present the whole issue by satirizing the conflict between two families. Besides, I will depict the recent student movement of Gen-Z. We will show this movement but in a slightly different way. At some point in the story, both things will be merged”, he added.

The series is being produced by Creative Lab, a well-known production house.
