Dhallywood actor Shahin Alam passed away while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital city on Monday night.
He was 58.
He breathed his last around 10:05pm at Asgar Ali Hospital.
Shilpi Samity General Secretary Zayed Khan confirmed the matter to the media.
Shahin Alam had been suffering from kidney disease for the last five years.
He was admitted to the Asgar Ali Hospital on Friday night. Later, he was placed on life support early Saturday morning as his condition worsened further.
Shahin Alam made his debut in Dhallywood with the film ‘Mayer Kanna’ in 1991. He appeared in more than 150 films and was last seen in Rokibul Alom Rokib directorial ‘Darwaner Chele’ in 2011.
