Actress Mahiya Mahi to get divorce

Popular actress Mahiya Mahi will be getting a divorce from her husband Rakib Sarker. The actress made the announcement herself in a video posted on her Facebook page Friday night.

At the same time, she requested netizens not to make lewd comments about her personal life, especially her child and asked for prayers instead.

In the video, she said, “We decided to go through with our divorce to close the chapter due to some issues between us. We have a problem regarding some issues. But Rakib is a very good person. I respect him. He is very caring. We plan to initiate our divorce proceedings soon, and we will jointly determine the timing and process."

She also said, “Please pray for my son Farish, so that I can make him a good person.”

Mahiya Mahi tied the knot with Gazipur-based businessman and politician Kamruzzaman Sarker Rakib on September 13, 2021, and they have a son named Mosaib Arosh Shamsuddin Farish Sarker. Before this, she was married to Sylhet businessman Mahmud Pervez Opu in 2016.
