This time, Afsana Mimi will be seen playing the role of Nusrat Faria’s mother in a web film titled ‘Patalghor’. Directed by Noor Imran Mithu, the film will be released today on Chorki.
About the film, Afsana Mimi said, “The film was shot in October 2020 in Pangsha. The story of ‘Patalghar’ is very strong. It is basically a mother-daughter story. The film depicts the distance, coming closer, and tension between mother and daughter. In the film, I am a single mother. The story is amazing.”
“This is my first work with Nusrat Faria. I really enjoyed the shooting time. I get a chance to work with many experienced artists through this film”, she added.
Nusrat Faria said, “We shot this film during Covid. Now the film is going to be released. Hopefully, the audience will see something great. And this year is pretty good for me as this is my 6th content and 3rd movie released of the year.”
The film revolves around a house and the complex relationship of the people that live in it. The film also casts Mamunur Rashid, Nasir Uddin Khan, Rawnak Hasan, Dipannita Martin, Nazia Haque Orsha, Salauddin Lavlu, Moutushi Biswas, and others.
Before its release, the film received incredible reception in international festivals and even competed in the 'Asian Competition category at the prestigious Bengaluru International Film Festival. The film was also screened at the 53rd International Film Festival (IFFI).
