Asaduzzaman Noor, a revered figure in the Bangladeshi film and theatre industry, has captivated audiences with his performances for decades. His unwavering dedication to both his craft and public service has kept him engrossed in political activities, leaving little time for acting as he did in his earlier years.

Noor's approach to acting is guided by his belief that a compelling script and a character that resonates with him are essential for a successful performance. Currently, he is shooting for the film "Ekattor: Korotole Chinnomatha," inspired by Hasan Azizul Haq's story. This seasoned actor made his debut on the theatrical stage in 1972 with the play 'Toilo Songkot' as part of the 'Nagorik Natya Sampradaya '. Since then, he has become a staple in numerous stage productions.

Noor has also taken on directorial responsibilities, having directed two stage plays, 'Dewan Gazir Kissa' and 'Mohonogori.' 'Dewan Gazir Kissa' has graced the stage over three hundred times, according to Noor.

Recently, Noor showcased his acting prowess in the stage play 'Remand,' directed and written by Shuvashis Sinha. His portrayal of a detective character in the play garnered praise for its depth and authenticity. The play also starred Jyoti Sinha, Kamaluddin Kabir, Sajib Hossain, and Shanaz Jahan, among others.

When asked about his future in cinema, Asaduzzaman Noor, a recipient of the ‘Swadhinata Padak,’ stated that his involvement in film would likely conclude with his ongoing project.

Noor says, "I used to enjoy acting. However, doing it regularly was a bit challenging. There was a time when intense passion for acting prevailed in the film industry. People like me didn't really have the opportunity to act in films. Faridi got involved in commercial cinema.

“Now, efforts are being made to bring improvements in commercial cinema. At this stage of life, I sometimes wonder who I really am! Am I an artist, a politician or a social worker? However, through acting, I have received the love of millions of people, there is no denying that. We had a time when talented individuals were together. There was a restriction on television, and the audience's interest was strong. They enjoyed dramas with heart and soul. I miss those times a lot."

Some of Noor's remarkable TV dramas include 'Ei Shob Din Ratri', 'Aaj Robibar', 'Ayomoy', 'Bohubrihi' and 'Nokkhotrer Raat'. Noteworthy films in which he has acted include 'Shonkhonil Karagar', 'Aguner Poroshmoni', 'Chandrokotha' and 'Daruchini Dip' among others.
