Mondira Chakroborty's eagerly awaited debut as a film actress seems to be finally on the horizon. The promising new actress has been cast as the lead in the upcoming film "Kajol Rekha", which is expected to hit the screens later this year.

The dancer actress commented, "Before my acting in 'Kajol Rekha', I had worked on a few other projects as well. However, I found a deeper connection with the story and character of 'Kajol Rekha'. The role of Kajol Rekha resonated with me, and that's why I chose to act in this film. I have put a lot of effort into my performance, and Selim Bhai (referring to director Giasuddin Selim) has guided me throughout the process. I have taken on the challenge of portraying my character authentically, and the entire unit, along with the co-artists, has been incredibly supportive."
Mondira's journey in "Kajol Rekha" has indeed been a noteworthy one. The movie's story, set in the past, required Mondira to immerse herself into the historical context.
She revealed, "Since this is my first film, it was quite challenging for me as well. Director Selim Bhai has put in a lot of effort to guide me. Even during dubbing, watching certain scenes left me mesmerized. I believe this fascination will resonate with the audience, making my acting stand out."
Although Mondira's schedule hasn't allowed her to take on additional projects before the release of "Kajol Rekha", there are talks about her potential involvement in a new film project in the near future.
She expressed, "My focus right now is entirely on 'Kajol Rekha'. This film's success will pave the way for my future endeavors. Recently, I received an award in the United States during an awards ceremony for excellence in dance. This recognition has given me a boost to venture into acting."
