Producer-filmmaker Simi Islam Koli has filed a General Diary (GD) against actress Apu Biswas at Hatirjheel Police Station. Apart from Apu Biswas in the GD, Koli also named Zahidul Islam Apu as a defendant.
In the GD, Simi Islam Koli mentioned that in June 2016, she established Hi sk Films int and SKfilmsint 7712. Apu Biswas (35), and Jahidul Islam Apu (30), the alleged disputant, are suspected of hacking her YouTube channel on an estimated date of August 29, 2023, around 7pm.
On August 31, 2023, at 8am, the complainant intended to discuss the matter with the alleged disputant number 2. However, during their conversation via mobile, the latter demanded one lakh taka. It was stated that if the money was paid, they would return the complainant's YouTube channel; otherwise, they would not, along with various intimidating threats. This incident was registered as a cybercrime in the General Diary.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mamun of Hatirjheel Police Station informed that Simi Islam Koli has filed a GD. In the GD, Apu Biswas and Jahidul Islam Apu were both accused. However, it cannot be confirmed if the Apu Biswas mentioned in the GD is the renowned actress from the film industry, as there is no mention of any parents' names alongside this name in the GD.
Simi Islam Koli told that she filed a GD in the names of both individuals, one being film actress Apu Biswas and the other Jahidul Islam Apu.
