The eagerly anticipated film 'Chayabrikkho', depicting the lives of tea plantation workers in the mountains, has been granted an uncut censor certificate. The film stars Nirab and Apu Biswas in lead roles and has received government funding for its production.

Producer Anup Barua confirmed that all preparations for the release are underway, with the possibility of a Durga Puja premiere if all goes as planned.

Directed by Bandhan Biswas, 'Chayabrikkho' was funded in the 2019-2020 fiscal year. Filming commenced in Rangunia, Chittagong in November 2021, concluding in Sreemangal. Both Nirab and Apu Biswas have expressed great optimism regarding the film.

Prior to this project, Nirab primarily worked in commercial cinema. This marks his first portrayal of a tea garden worker.

Speaking about his role, Nirab stated, "Tea plantation workers form a massive demographic in our country. Through this film, many unknown aspects of their lives will come to light. I myself have learned a lot of new things. The entire film has turned out to be phenomenal, and I believe the audience will thoroughly enjoy it."

Aside from Nirab and Apu, the film also features performances by Kazi Nowshaba, Sumit Sengupta, Shatabdi Wadud, Mahmudul Islam Mithu and Azam Khan  among others.
