Veteran actor Asaduzzaman Noor has lent his voice to recite Abu Zafar Obaidullah's iconic poem "Kono Ek Make" for the upcoming historical drama film "Japito Jibon".

The film chronicles the events leading up to the Language Movement of 1952.

Director Habibul Islam Habib emphasized the importance of this addition, stating, "This part is very important for the film. The poem is very relevant here as it enhances its emotional depth. I believe that it will create a wonderful ambiance and a sense of despair among the audience, signifying the sacrifices that we made for our language as a nation."

Habib further praised Noor's contribution, highlighting his distinctive style of recitation and the suitability of his voice for the role. He revealed, "I proposed the idea to Noor bhai. He agreed to it immediately upon hearing it. Due to various engagements, he couldn't make the earlier recording. Today, he took out time and completed the work. I believe that because of him, the quality of my film has reached a certain height."

"Japito Jibon," which began shooting in November 2022, is now in its final stages of post-production. The director mentioned that the film will soon be submitted to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for preview, with a slated release in theatres later this year.

The screenplay for "Japito Jibon" was crafted by Animesh Aich and Ishtiaq Ahmed.

The film boasts a stellar cast including Afzal Hossain, Gazi Rakayet, Rokeya Prachi, Azad Abul Kalam, Jayanta Chattopadhyay, Dolly Johur, Imtiaz Barshon, Ashna Habib Bhabna, and Moushumi Hamid.
