The award will be presented to Bannya by Land Minister Narayan Chandra Chanda, at the event titled "International Mother Language Day and Smart Bangladesh Performance and Award Ceremony".

The event is being organised by the Television Reporters Unity of Bangladesh (TRUB) and the Smart Bangladesh Business Association.

She is also an extremely talented and renowned Rabindra Sangeet singer. Her voice has spread the fame of Bangladesh on the international stage. We are therefore honouring her with a 'Lifetime Achievement Award' with utmost respect."
