BotTala will stage the five consecutive show of its 17th production ‘Shokhi Rongomala’ at the Nilima Ibrahim Auditorium of Bangladesh Mahila Samity in the capital’s Baily Road on November 2, 3 and 4.
Directed by Mohammad Ali Haider, the play is based on the novel of the same name by Shaheen Akhter. The screenplay of ‘Shokhi Rongomala’ has been written by Samina Luthfa Nitra and Soumya Sarkar.
‘Shokhi Rongomala’ is an animistic play that comprises the features of a dystopian society like gender discrimination, at the same time, highlights love, freedom and women empowerment.
The cast of the play includes Kazi Shams Tathoi, Priam Archi, Kazi Roksana Ruma, Rima, Shahinur Akhter Preti, Sanjida Yasmin, Mahbub Masum, Taufiq Hasan Bhuiya, Ashraful Islam and others.
