BTV to air four special dramas on Eid-ul-Azha

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, Bangladesh Television (BTV) has announced an exciting line-up featuring three star-studded single-episode dramas and a four-episode drama series.

Eid Day Premiere: "Modhujatra"

Kicking off the festivities, BTV will air "Modhujatra" on Eid day, following the Bangla News at 8 pm. Written by Nuruddin Jahangir and directed by Ruma Akhter, the drama boasts an ensemble cast including Manoj Pramanik, Nawba, Mohammad Bari, Ziaul Hasan Kislu, Akhtari Begum, M A Salam, Upoma, Urmi, Mizanur Rahman, Shyamoli, Imran, Gazi Rokon, Fahmida Sharmin, and many others.

 

Second Day of Eid: "Abiram Devdas"

On the second day of Eid, viewers can enjoy "Abiram Devdas," penned by Badrul Anam Soud. This drama stars Sazu Khadem, Zakia Bari Mamo, Ahsan Habib Nasim, Hillol Sarkar, Saiful Alam Shamim, and others. The story follows Didar, whose life changes dramatically after watching the movie "Devdas." He begins to see himself as the film’s protagonist, even legally changing his name to Devdas and embarks on a quest to find his Paru in every house in the village.

 

Third-Day of Eid: "Prayashchitta"

On the third day of Eid, BTV will broadcast "Prayashchitta." Scripted by Sujat Shimul and directed by Monirul Hasan, the drama features Mamunur Rashid, Wahida Mallik Jolly, Nadia Ahmed, Subhashis Bhowmik, and Sujat Shimul. The plot centres around Zafar Ali, an influential chairman of Rahmatpur village, who decides to atone for his corrupt ways after a haunting nightmare. He begins by returning the stolen property and seeks to sacrifice his inner beast.

 

Four-Episode Drama Series: "Char Murti"

The four-episode drama series "Char Murti" will air from the day before Eid to the third day of Eid, every day at 5:30 pm. Written by Raisul Islam Anik and produced by Al Mamun, the series stars Ahsan Habib Nasim, Intekhab Dinar, Sazu Khadem, Rawnak Hasan, and Rukaiya Jahan Chamak. The series narrates the story of three childhood friends, Kabir, Milon, and Joseph, who lost their hearing while playing with explosives. Kabir falls in love with Romana, and the trio visits her house in Sylhet to propose marriage, leading to a series of intriguing events.

BTV’s special Eid-ul-Azha programming promises a delightful mix of entertainment, offering viewers a chance to enjoy these compelling stories with their families.
