Bangladesh's leading OTT platform, Chorki, has embarked on its journey in Kolkata, marking a new chapter in its venture. The platform, which commenced operations in October, has now unveiled its inaugural project in Kolkata, a web-series titled "Lahu."

Directed by esteemed Indian filmmaker Rahool Mukherjee, "Lahu" boasts a stellar cast featuring Bangladeshi heartthrob Arifin Shuvoo alongside Kolkata's OTT sensation, Sohini Sarkar. The filming for this much-anticipated project is scheduled to commence in Dhaka at the end of the month.

Sohini Sarkar expressed her excitement about the series, emphasizing the significance of Chorki's expansion into Kolkata. She has dedicated considerable time to preparing for her role and is optimistic about the project, stating, "It is great that Chorki has extended their business in Kolkata, and our space for working in the web platform has widened."

For Arifin Shuvoo, this year has proven to be remarkable, with the success of "Mujib: The Making of a Nation" and the positive reception of Chorki's original web film, "Unish 20," earlier in February. Shuvoo shared his enthusiasm for the collaborative project, describing it as exciting news for audiences on both sides of the border.

Director Rahool Mukherjee, known for his work in films like "Kishmish" and "Dilkhush," provided insight into the series' plot. Set in a hilly area, the narrative revolves around a special team arriving to integrate with an active community, unraveling the compelling events that follow.

The ensemble cast of "Lahu" also includes Rajnandini Paul, Soumya Mukherjee, Shyamal Chakraborty, and Anujoy Chattopadhyay. As Chorki expands its footprint, this cross-border collaboration promises to captivate audiences with its intriguing storyline and a blend of talent from Bangladesh and Kolkata.
