In a unique twist for this year's Halloween, Chorki Original series "Procholito" promises to unravel intriguing tales tied to popular sayings and mysterious stories prevalent in society.

Directed by Md Abid Mallick, the series will feature a total of five episodes, each releasing every Thursday, starting from October 19. The episodes, ranging from 18 to 29 minutes, are titled 'Ringtone', 'Belai', 'Baewarish', 'Calling Bell', and 'Hatbodol'.

The cast boasts renowned actors including Mustafa Monwar, Yash Rohan, Sadia Ayman, Baizid Haque Joarder, Farin Khan and Abdullah Al Sentu amongst others.

Mustafa Monwar, who plays a pivotal role in the series, shared, "Portraying this character was immensely challenging. It's a story that unfolds over a single night, taking the character through a traumatic experience. Embodying this character physically and mentally was quite demanding. When we wrapped up the shoot in the morning, I was in a semi-conscious state, mirroring the character's state in the story."

Director Abid expressed, "The project took us to various locations across the country for authenticity. The narratives of the prevalent tales have been intricately woven into the fabric of this series. We've endeavored to capture the essence of those narratives and bring them to life in a contemporary context."

Addressing the challenges faced during production, Abid added, "Every production comes with its set of challenges. From brainstorming to scouting locations, production design, overnight shoots, and post-production work, it was all challenging. However, with everyone's collaboration, we managed to execute the project effectively."

Redoan Rony, the chief executive officer of Chorki, remarked, "Chorki has always presented diverse and unique content to the audience. After the success of 'Pett Kata Shaw', we are releasing five new intriguing stories ranging from mystery to supernatural, adding to the diversity of our content. I believe the audience will thoroughly enjoy this series."

The series was shot in various locations in Dhaka, Manikganj, and Savar from July to August of the preceding year. Cinematography was handled by Raju Raj, while Khayam Sanu Sandhi composed the music and background score.
