Coke Studio Bangla Season 3 drops new song ‘Tati’

Coke Studio Bangla, the Bangladesh edition of Coca-Cola’s international music platform - Coke Studio, dropped the first song of season 3 titled “Tati” a song that tells the tales of the weavers.

Marking the celebration of both Eid-Ul-Fitr and Pahela Baishakh, the song was released on April 13. The song features the talented trio of Shayan Chowdhury Arnob, Gonjer Ali, and Louis Anthony, better known by his stage name Oli Boy. It was produced by Shayan Chowdhury Arnob, the music curator for season 3, and written by Shatarupa Thakurta Roy, Md Gonjer Ali, and Louis Anthony.

“Tati” has already garnered positive appreciation from the audience. Following the release of the song, it received 15, 40,080 views, 70k likes, and 2,302 comments on YouTube up until the filing of this report at 3:00 pm on Monday.

“Tati” is the artisan who weaves fabrics while whispering the rich history of our culture. During the weaving of these fabrics, the shuttle creates a rhythmic melody. With the sound of the loom, each thread becomes a verse and each verse is passed down from generation to generation. That very essence and sound of the Tati has been captured in Coke Studio Bangla’s latest track.

Featuring the weaver himself Gonjer Ali accompanied with Arnob’s twist, the song embraces the untold artistry. Their rhythmic symphony is fusioned with Afrobeat done by Oli Boy; a musician of Nigeria whose heart is woven from two lands. The song also contains a special cameo by the sensational Jaya Ahsan, who also happened to be part of the background vocals.

Audiences now can listen to Tati on the official YouTube and Spotify channel of Coke Studio Bangla.
