Daniel Craig to return as Benoit Blanc in ‘Knives Out’ sequel

Rian Johnson's acclaimed “Knives Out” series has announced the title of its third installment – “Wake Up Dead Man”. This was revealed last Friday via a brief teaser trailer released by Netflix.

The teaser features the familiar voice of Daniel Craig, who returns as detective Benoit Blanc. In his signature Southern accent, Blanc reflects on his past cases before indicating that his next investigation will be "my most dangerous case yet."

The trailer was released with the caption, "Benoit Blanc returns in his most dangerous case yet (sic)."

The teaser does not provide any details about the plot or setting of 'Wake Up Dead Man,' leaving much to speculation. The title itself raises questions about whether it refers to a victim discovering their own murder or a scenario where everyone is a suspect.

This announcement follows Johnson's deal with Netflix for two sequels after the success of the original film and its 2022 follow-up, 'Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.' 'Glass Onion' took Blanc to a luxurious Greek island for another intricate murder mystery.

'Wake Up Dead Man' is scheduled for release in 2025. Fans of the series can look forward to another complex and engaging Benoit Blanc investigation.
