The leading actress of director Mostafa Kamal Raz's highly anticipated film "Omar" has finally been revealed. After much speculation, it has been confirmed that Indian actress Darshana Banik will star opposite Sariful Razz in the pivotal role.

The announcement came on Thursday through the film's official Facebook page, where a still image featuring both Razz and Darshana was unveiled. The actress's casting adds to the growing excitement surrounding the film.

Mostafa Kamal Raz expressed his enthusiasm about Banik's involvement in the project, stating, "Darshana Banik's presence is another highlight of our film. Her charisma has the potential to dazzle the audience," according to Bangladesh Tribune.

"Omar" is scheduled for release during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr festival. To further build anticipation, the film's producers plan to release full-length posters, teasers, and trailers in the coming days.

While actress Mehazabien Chowdhury receives credit for the film's title, she will not appear on screen. The ensemble cast boasts names like Shahiduzzaman Selim, Rosey Siddique, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Arfan Mredha Shiblu, and Abu Huraira Tanvir alongside the lead pair.

Behind the scenes, Siddique Ahmed penned the screenplay while Raju Raj took charge of cinematography. Khorshed Alam serves as the producer under the banner of Master Communications.

The film's soundtrack promises a musical treat with contributions from Bangladeshi artists Dilshad Nahar Kona, Arfin Rumey, and Indian singer Ishan Mitra.
