In a significant development, all legal disputes involving actor Ziaul Faruq Apurba have been successfully resolved following a pivotal meeting convened by the Television and Digital Program Producers Association of Bangladesh (Telepab) and the Actors Equity.

The marathon six-hour meeting, held on Saturday, saw prominent industry figures including Alpha i Managing Director Shahriar Karim Bhuiyan, actor Ziaul Faruq Apurba, Actors Equity President Ahsan Habib Nasim, Actors Equity General Secretary Rawnak Hasan, Telepab President Monowar Pathan, and Telepab General Secretary Sazu Muntasir in attendance.

After extensive discussions, both parties reached a mutual understanding, reframing the issue from embezzlement to a contractual disagreement. It was revealed that Apurba had committed to starring in nine dramas as per the contract, leaving the remaining projects unfulfilled.

Consequently, a consensus was reached for the coordination of advance payments for the outstanding dramas Apurba had agreed to participate in. Additionally, in adherence to the contract terms, Apurba agreed to reimburse the surplus funds received for the projects he did not complete, with Telepab serving as the intermediary for this process.

Both Shahriar Shakil and Apurba took to social media, sharing images of their reconciliation and assuring fans that the matter has been amicably resolved.

This resolution comes in the wake of allegations levelled against Apurba by Alpha i Studios Limited on March 14, citing embezzlement, breach of contract, and schedule manipulation. The production company had accused Apurba of participating in only nine out of 24 contracted dramas and subsequently severing communication after receiving an advance payment of Tk 33 lakhs.
