During a livestreamed event for 'Dr. Stone: New World,' the third season of the 'Dr. Stone' anime, an exciting new video was unveiled on Saturday, offering a glimpse into the second cours (quarter) of the season. Fans can look forward to the second cours premiering on October 12.

The event also brought forth the announcement of the anime's theme song artists. Ryūjin Kiyoshi will enchant audiences with the opening theme song "Haruka" (Far Away), while Anly will captivate with the ending theme song "Suki ni Shinayo" (Suit Yourself).

Having debuted in Japan on April 6, the anime's first cours concluded with its 11th episode. Crunchyroll streamed the series simultaneously with its Japanese airing, accompanied by an English dub. The anime made its way to Adult Swim's Toonami programming block on June 3.

Joining the cast as Francois, Maaya Sakamoto became part of the show's expanded storyline. The narrative of the new series continues as the former members of Tsukasa's Empire of Might unite with the Kingdom of Science. Their goal is to construct a vessel capable of exploring the open ocean and uncovering the secrets behind the global petrification phenomenon. However, their journey demands essential resources and groundbreaking scientific advancements, according to Anime News Network.

The inaugural 'Dr. Stone' television anime made its debut in July 2019, streamed by Crunchyroll as it aired and dubbed by Funimation. The show also premiered on Toonami in August 2019.

The second season, 'Dr. Stone: Stone Wars,' premiered in January 2021. Crunchyroll handled worldwide streaming (excluding Asia), while Funimation provided an English dub. The second season reached Toonami's audience in May 2021. Fans also enjoyed the one-hour 'Dr. Stone: Ryusui' anime special in July 2022.

The collaborative efforts of Boichi (known for 'Sun-Ken Rock') and Riichirou Inagaki (author of 'Eyeshield 21') gave birth to the 26-volume manga series, which began in Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2017 and concluded in March 2022. Both Viz Media and MANGA Plus have played a role in bringing the manga to English-speaking audiences through digital and print platforms.
